Duffel Bags for DHS
|
The Department of Human Services recently expressed a need for backpacks or duffel bags that can be given to kids who must be taken
from their home on an emergency basis. Often there is no time for the child to gather belongings, so the DHS needs basic supplies to give these
children as they're placed in a temporary living arrangement.
We originally purchased 10 duffel bags and asked for donations of essential items such as pajamas, toothbrushes, stuffed animals,
toys and books.
The response was overwhelming, and we were excited to deliver 15 duffel bags to the Michigan Department of Human Services office!
I wanted to share with you the gratitude of the DHS staff and let you know we exceeded their expectations by responding quickly and
by giving so generously. The staff spoke about how happy they are to have the bags to hand out to the children. I truly believe that
this is the work God calls us to do.
