Ephesians 4:12

Adult Classes for Winter Trimester I
(Jan/Feb 2008)
Sunday Mornings at 9:30 am
Auditorium - The Psalms as Torah (Lance Perry)
Instruction is not something that takes place primarily in a classroom. The people of God have been instructed by the Psalms as they have read and meditated upon them in private devotion; and above all, they have been instructed as they have read and heard and sung the Psalms in public worship. Liturgy is instructional. Liturgy shapes minds and hearts; it moves and transforms; it creates a new vision of reality.

Fellowship Room - A Gathered People: Revisioning the Assembly as Transforming Encounter (Bryan Jobe)
A Gathered People is an in-depth biblical, historical, and theological study of the Christian assembly or Lord's Day. It examines Hebrew assemblies in the OT, Christian assemblies in the NT, the changing nature of assemblies in Christian history, and the assembly in the Stone-Campbell heritage. It concludes with a theological argument about the nature and purpose of the assembly, and reflections on Christian assemblies today. Other resources will also be used in this study.

College Room/Elder Study - Until I Return: Twelve Things Jesus Wants Every Believer to Know (Jon Keith and Michael Boyd)
Chapter headings include Don't Be Afraid, Don't Stop Trusting, and You Are Not Alone. The lessons are based on Jesus' words to the Apostles during the Last Supper as found in John chapters 14-17.

Wednesday Nights at 7:00 pm
Auditorium (All Adults) - The Names of Jesus (Lance and Amy Jo Perry)
What's in a name?...In the case of Jesus Christ, rich insights, fresh perspectives, and pathways to intimacy. From "Good Shepherd" to "Lamb of God," this study explores the various names given to Christ in the Bible and reveals a Christ that will both surprise and challenge you.
