We had a GREAT Christmas in April, with a record-breaking 42 volunteers from
our church family coming together to participate. Wanna see?
Helping Families At Christmas
During the holiday season we "adopted" five families in Ann Arbor, contacted through the Michigan Department of
Human Services. This service project allowed us to put our faith into action and get
involved in the community. The funds used for this program were raised through our U of M football
parking program.
Thanksgiving Community Outreach
In cooperation with the Michigan Department of Human Services, 50 local families were selected
to receive all the groceries needed for a Thanksgiving meal. Our volunteers were present to make them feel welcome,
help them shop, and then help to carry their groceries out to their cars.
Rebuilding Together
On a spring Saturday in April, volunteers joined together all across Ann Arbor to rake, paint,
clean, repair and generally help to spruce up the homes of those in need. More than twenty-five
members of our church family met at the home of our own Alice Chapple to spend the day enjoying
each other's fellowship while working hard to surprise Alice with a few home improvements!
Our Holiday Program is just a few weeks away, and we're looking for volunteers to help distribute food and wrap presents. Wanna help? It's easy, and we'd love to have you! Just click here to
